I am an accomplished organizer, educator, and leader with a passion for helping people achieve the American Dream and upward mobility. I began my career teaching high school math and computer science for seven years in the public schools of California and North Carolina. Through developing strong relationships and setting high expectations, my students learned and grew—at times against great obstacles—and now many are attending flagship colleges and starting successful careers. More recently, I’ve led election and issue campaigns in North Carolina around some of the most important issues of our time including reproductive rights, voting rights, and affordable housing. In my future, I will continue to advocate for progressive laws and public policy so every person has equal opportunity.

Before I became a teacher, I grew up in Portland, ME and studied economics, math, and education at Harvard College. I earned my Masters of Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education in 2018.

Outside of teaching, I love distance running, soccer, cooking, and traveling with my wife.
